Well, we've lived here almost 3 weeks now. Here are a few pictures with furnished rooms! We have furniture in most of the house which is very exciting. This is mostly the downstairs. I'll get some pictures of the bonus room tomorrow. The master bedroom will have to wait. We're expecting our fabulous mattress set in 3 weeks or so. (I'm not sure what I did to make the pictures different sizes but it'll be annoying to fix it right now)

Well, it's just about that time. Tomorrow at 10 am, we will be attending our closing. By noon or so, we will own our first house. It's pretty surreal. We go to the house so often but it still doesn't quite feel like it's ours. We will spend the night tomorrow (sleeping on an air mattress), get up Saturday morning and come back to the apartment where the movers will come and get our stuff. So, by Saturday afternoon, we will be moved in!

There will, of course, be new pictures of the house with all our stuff in it! They might come slowly, but they will come! Thank you so much for reading our blog and taking as much and interest in the new house as we have.

Not very much has changed. They added hardware to all our doors and gave us spouts and faucets and the like. Ooh and we have toilets. Very fun. Here are pictures of some appliances. The oven was still in the box :(

Alright, we changed it up a bit by going on a Sunday. Just a few new things. Our walls are now their Hayseed color and you can see things now!

Yay! After one skipped week, we have some new pictures. They started painting a bit (mostly primer) and they put down concrete, meaning we have a driveway and a walkway now! They also put in our cabinets, but they were all covered up due to painting and I didn't want to risk messing them up by peeling away the plastic. Oh and they put up pretty marble surrounding the fire place.

These are pictures from last Saturday. They hadn't done much worth taking pictures. They put insulation in. So here's a picture of the Bonus Room with insulation and a picture of the back of the house cuz it was pretty.

September 28th

So, we had our pre-drywall walk yesterday. It was neat to picture where everything was going to go based on where cables and pipes were placed in the walls. They will put in the insulation next and then onto the walls. I think that's when it'll hit us that this is our home and not just some work site we've been visting for fun. They tell us that it will be ready around Christmas. That's one month earlier than I expected and 2 months earlier than Tim had thought. Either way, it's a little freaky that we're going to be living in a HOUSE (potentially) come New Year's!

Here are a few new pictures. Not much has changed since last week. They finished the exterior and put up a few more structural things on the inside. We have shutters! The front door will eventually match the shutters. Isn't it pretty?

It just gets better and better. Now we have brick and siding on the outside. On the inside we have plumbing, outlets and ventilation. I got to go inside today and even went upstairs! Here are all the updates...

Wow. We go there thinking, "how much more could they have possibly done?" and then we arrive and are just as shocked (if not more) than we were the week before! It looks like a house. An actual house. We're excited! Ok...more pictures

We didn't bring the camera because we didn't know how much more would be done in just one day!! We had a meeting with the "super" about our plans - triple checking all of our options! That was neat. Anyway, here's a picture from my phone showing that we already have a second floor and walls.
